... to grab a bite at Riva’s, a restaurant with great ocean views. Since we had the spa session coming up, we just had something light. A garlic bread to share, a clam chowder for me, and steamed mussels for Azrael.
Our spa session was at the Teahouse Spa. For whatever reason, Santa Cruz has a huge number of spas. We got a 1 hour hot tub and sauna session, and a 1 hour massage. BLISS! The private hot tub rooms were really nice, as they looked out onto their beautifully landscaped gardens.
... in the photos was going with Eric (high school friend of Zac's from Katonah), Eric's brother Mike, friend Dave and Jim all went to the Crosby, Stills and Nash Concert!! It was stupendous!! They are excellent musicians and their voices and harmonies were stronger than ever. I was on memory lane the whole night swaying and singing along with all the folks around me!! I love it that my ...
Santa Cruz, California, United States jodieandandy... it's just that good! As I was sitting at the copper counter and slurping my soup, it just hit me; I'm done! I want to go home now. I had made reservations at the Morro Bay State Park for a night but just decided to pass on by. I put the peddle to the metal and kept on going through the night until I reached San Jose. It was sooo good to finally be back home and sleeping ...

San Jose, California, United States danharriet... It was quite the trip. Tanya busted out the cooler of drinks and popcorn. You don't have to buy it there!! And our tickets were under 7 dollars, it was amazing! If they're that cheap everywhere then I'm finding the drive-in and watching movies from now on. New experiences are indeed great. Tomorrow night Peter comes back home to San Jose with his fiancee and we have an impromptu discussion meeting to celebrate them being back. Fun fun! Miles driven today: 12.8mi Daniel
San Jose, California, United States vcfighters... and I cooked an Easter brunch for our friend at my brothers house. It was so nice to hang out with everyone and just chill out. Sunday I would head to San Jose. It was really hard to leave San Diego. I can not wait to go back this summer. I spend the next week in San Jose seeing family and friends and just hanging out. I ate so much food while I was home it was so yummy, sushi, cheese steak sandwiches, the shop, burgers pretty much anything and everything. It ...
San Jose, California, United States stella762... to sample one though). We did however get some good views of the bay and alcatraz (famous prison) from the top of coit tower. Ofcourse we couldnt finish the day without walking across the golden gate bridge and back . we must have walked about 20miles that day. We are still in San francisco but we atravel back down to LA today along the pacific coast highway to see the scenic bits it was too dark to see on the way up. i will write my final travel log in L.A.
San francisco, California, United States kludlam... finished the night with the Aussie girls, watching what they called an emo (emotional rock) band at the Elbo Room. I could have sworn the main guy was playing a Fisher Price kazoo. Left the Mission and moved hostels to one in town. All was good, except I was now sharing a room with a teeny tiny Scottish girl who reminded me of an Ewok and who didn't understand a word I said, which I thought was rich given that her accent was as think as a caber. Our ...
San Francisco, California, United States slinkymlinkyWe made it to California relatively unharmed. Though driving through the desert in the summer heat without air conditioning was a test of will. Finally, once it had cooled off we frolicked and played through the park. I got the chance to touch my first palm tree. I have no idea whose yard it is ...
San Jose, California, United States moonlitgoddess... head for Sausalito for a very neat little town and some wonderfully posh and expensive art museums. Really excellent! Visit the cable car museum to view the actual workings of the tramcars - amazing. We have bought a 3 day pass for $15 (unlimited use) and we have done a free guided walk taking us inside unusual buildings and onto roof gardens you'd not find on your own. Plenty of these tours operate throughout the week/month ...
