... crossed the first road....I caught a lizard....and it bit me, and wouldn't let go, and it hurt like no ones business....stupid lizard. After the first climb, we sat by a log and as I went to get water - a large Gardner snake....and I caught it......and it bit me too......didn't hurt as bad as the lizard, and it did let go......but then bit me a second time for good measure........stupid snake. Then, at the same spot, a turtle....just strolling along at hiker pace! ...
... it's hard to count cause we flew over them.
I was struck by the American landscape. I'm familiar by now with the East Coast and Florida, and even a bit with the mid-west. But I saw the way the ancient waters shaped the land and how today I saw sand dunes in America! I know through texts that we have them, but it's one thing to read, and quite another to see.
And then I realized:

There is a birds house where you can feed them on a little stick with sesame seeds on it. This stick also attracts the birds to come to you. It's very cool to see about 4 or 5 of them coming to your way at one time.
... Boseman was quite excellent as one of the players waiting to be drafted. Chadwick Boseman, in case you never heard of him, played Jackie Robinson in 42, in which he was also excellent, and, although this is another portrayal of an athlete, the two characters could not be more different.
