When we got to the end the guide wanted us to see how dark ...

The next stop was the General Store just down from Misty Mountain. Another disappointment. It's a yuppy store with a lot of wine, high priced relishes, cheeses, etc. Nothing of interest to us. We still haven't bought our Virginia souvenir. Wish we had gotten the bowl at Monticello!

More War Memorials - Monument Terrace/Rose Garden

A travel blog entry by pykesonthego on Oct 12, 2012

The City of Lynchburg has done a wonderful job of utilizing a steep hill to create a terraced memorial to all their citizens killed in all wars that have been/are being fought. Each level of Monument Terrace is dedicated to one specific war.
