Radisson Hotel Little Rock

... last ride thru because my motel is 5 mi south of I-40. The motel seems to have little on the city itself so I will peruse my guide book and see what else is noteworthy besides the Clinton Library. I got all excited that there was a barbecue place beside the motel, until I realized it was abandoned.

... Oh, and this blog was recently featured on TravelPod's main page! I've almost doubled the total number of hits I've had in this month alone, and we're only halfway through it. Thanks to TravelPod for that, and thanks to all you people who are reading this because of that. Sorry they waited until I was back home, but I'll eventually use this blog on more travels, so if you liked my writing, check back every once in a while.

Ok..so after a unfound 126 Exit and many phone calls, all of our group (with exception of Whimpy's car...we temporarily lost her but she is stoped a few exits away!) stopped at a Wendy's for lunch. The trip has been pretty uneventful so far. Thnakfully no break downs or any big problems. We are almost done eating and then will head back on the road we are a little over a thrid of the way there!! And trust me all of the girls are sooooooo excited, and the coaches are pumped ...

... our predetermined stop at North Little<br>Rock. As we were driving, we got a wonderful surprise when we realized<br>we were now in the central time zone and had gained an hour! So we<br>arrived at the hotel around 8 pm (CST) and the kids headed straight to<br>the indoor pool. They swam for about an hour before we got hot showers<br>and got in bed. We have a room with 2 queen beds and the kids chose to<br>sleep together in one bed. <br>

Took some photos of the outside and then checked that we had slightly less than 2 hours before it closed, so we decided we would go back the next day when we would have more time to take the time to go through the museum. It was still fairly early so we drove around for a bit then right before 5pm we headed to the river where the riverboats were. We got there just in time as rain started to fall. The sightseeing cruise was to depart ...

The men's sun porch was in the sun, but the women's was in the shade - in the interest of maintaining a milky white complexion as was popular then. Wish that trend had stuck around. After the tour of Fordyce, Ed and I walked around the back of the bathhouse and up the mountain into the park itself. An extremely civilized park, there were paved and unpaved trails, benches, seating areas, bathrooms ...
