... tried waiting for the rain to stop. No dice. I went over to the "Lord Nelson Motel" just across the parking lot and booked a room. So gross. I can barely breathe in here. There is furniture lined with VELOUR and FOLDING chairs. Also, the smell is disgusting, I don't know what it smells like, but it's terrible. I had to ASK for a cup. I was so thirsty, I couldn't even drink ...

... for groceries to make dinner. Since it was obvious by this point that the planned pasta dinner wouldn't be until almost 9:00 pm. I asked for my share of the 'kitty' for the cost of dinner back and just got myself something quick from the grocery. Not ideal but I can't eat pasta so late. The hostel is in a beautiful location on the north of Skye with views out over the sea. I just went up to the room, showered and went to bed. I'm not very happy with the tour this evening.

In 72 hours we'll be on the plane (yuck) on our way to London. The last few months have just flown past. I am completely unprepared for this trip. The other things in my life have gotten in the way of planning for this trip. I've got a couple of days to try to get the last things together...we shall see what happens. I knew I'd eventually return to my starting point, but the distance travelled might exceed the distance I would have liked to have gone. And that's exactly what happened.
