        Riding through Troy, PA

The first time I road through Troy, PA, I was traveling by minivan on Rt. 6 (a nice ride in itself). It was nice to see the town again. It's a pretty town in northern PA. The one thing that amazed me about Troy are the number of old, fancy houses. Given the surrounding areas and no obvious signs of industry, the town appears to have had an affluent past and a seemingly healthy future.

Trying to decide whether I want to spend another night on the road or save money and ride the rest of the way home. Skies are a mix of sun and large dark clouds in the distance. When the sun isn't shining it's a little cool --- high today is only around ...

Following a late lunch at Subway I went across the street to Watkins Glen State Park. The park is really amazing, you walk through a stone tunnel and then her into a gorge that is unbelievable. The sheer cliffs and the waterfalls ...

After hiking the gorge trial, our last afternoon was spent driving along Seneca Lake to visit a few wineries before we went back to PA.

We decided on two wineries after reviewing the many many choices- the Penguin Bay Winery and the Hazlitt 1852 Vineyards. Now... as many of my friends know I LOVE penguins! So I might have been a little biased to the name of the winery, however I was ...
