Dimaniyat archipelago can be reached from Al Sawadi in Oman and offer an underwater paradise for snorkellers and divers. The coral formations are home to endless fish, including my favourite little boxfish, and turtles and sharks are common sights here too - I was lucky enough to see a turtle and a sea snake (from the boat luckily!) and some of the others saw sharks and huge schools of large fish.

Amazing trip, would go again tomorrow!!

We were close to the border so phoned the rental company to see what we should do. It was decided that we should divert back to Sharjah airport where they will provide us another car. This meant an hour there, exchange vehicles, insurance documents etc and then another hour back. This had to be done as we could not drive ...

Have had a wonderful trip on Emirates, with an hour stopover at Brisbane, thru to Dubai, arriving at 5am. Our travel-mates at this stage are Richard and Mary Jo Potez, who we have travelled with in the past. My GPS got us from Dubai to The Sohar Beach Hotel in Oman, passing ...
