I have stayed at a variety of hotels over the last 3 months. The Radisson and Park hotels (both the same chain) have always been of a high standard and suited my budget perfectly. The Radisson Blu Media City is about 10km from Dubai. Fortunately taxi fares in Dubai are quite reasonable but I guess that some of the money we have saved on the room has gone on taxi fares.

We stayed another night in Dubai before an early flight to Sydney the following ...
... the freaky randoms who stopped in:) (Pretty sure you can't barter with a bar in a hotel you freak!!) We slept pretty soon after that and awoke to a new day in Dubai. We wandered the shops for a bit, Sarah buying a toy camel, who we named Dermot from Dubai! When we returned to our nest in the smokers lounge, we hung out for a bit, watched some news (riots in Istanbul huh?) and posted a few pics on Facebook. When we went ...

We had a think. Where can we go that isn't too far from Dubai, that's not too expensive and the kids can play outside? Whilst looking at the map, a lush little island in the Indian Ocean caught my eye.
