... of the time we were there. Bodium castle lies in the middle of open plains, not really serving any strategical value. Although damaged by the English revolution, Bodium still stands like it used to and we were allowed to walk up and down towers and explore the rooms, see the oldest portcullis in England, walk along a rampart and even stand at the top of a tower. It was awesome to be able to explore it all in your own time.
