... we were not sure if that was it. The views really are spectacular. On one side you can look across the ocean and the other offers the most amazing views of Cape Town. We walked back on the Cape Town side and looking down it looked just like Sim City.
We passed a large African family who were singing gospel and to hear their voices on the mountain top was really something.
We took the cable car back down, and ...
... out that the ski lift to the top of Table Mountain was also closed. Another option for the day would have been to drive down to the Cape of Good Hope, but it was too late to start that drive. So we finally decided to just have a driving tour of the city since the weather was still somewhat nice out (just a bit windy).
We start off by driving to the Castle of Good Hope which is right in the center of the city ...
... for you. Drink it up! Drink it up!" Every Friday morning the children had the chance to take part in Eurythmy, as volunteers we were always in the hall helping with each group. Some of the children really benefited from the slow movements and relaxing music while others just screamed. There was a lady who played the music on a piano, which went in time with the other lady guiding us through the steps. We only did basic things like, deep breathing, laying down listening to ...

Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa tkillip... of things. It will be a surprise. Today my cousins, Andrew and Nic, and aunt Su and uncle Dave are coming from Maine to Cape Town. They got stuck in a big snowstorm in Newark and almost didn't make the plane, but they should get here this morning. I am so excited to see them - they have never been here before so we can show them all the best things in Cape Town. Last night, I had a sleepover with Alec - it was the first time I have ...
Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa zolabI spent the weekend in this town in the peninsula called Oceanview. A number of exchange students (including myself, which I'm sure you assumed) got adopted for a 3day weekend by families in Oceanview. Apartheid government declared Simon's Town and Noordhoek white-only towns. The coloured families were forcibly removed from their homes on the ocean, and put in an isolated area inland. Their stories are extraordinary and in spite of injustices ...

Cape Town, South Africa michelle05... that I was currently reading the Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West and the goat Dr. Dillamond, we had a great time with the goats who are kept on the property to make various delicious cheeses which are matched with wines. We couldn't help but buy some cheese, bread and a bottle for a picnic the next day. On Friday we were to visit Robin Island, the prison where Nelson Mandela was held. It takes many days to even get a reservation for ...
Cape Town, South Africa seandrade... for just a walk along the beach and doing the obligatory toe dip. The rest of the week was spent doing the tourist hotspots. The highlights were a visit to Table Mountain which Kylie aptly renamed "On top of the world" mountain. Odette packed us a picnic dinner with a bottle of champagne. Stephen took out a tourist while popping the cork - it flew off and hit her on the head. She was still ...
