Pick up a penguin on the Peninsula

... Hout Bay after a fantastic drive. It's one of the best roads I've been on as it has the most spectacular views on the way round the Peninsular and the sky and scenery changes a lot as you drive around. Not to mention the bendy cliff-side roads haning over the ocean as you drive. I'd be useless being the driver though, I'd be way too busy looking at the mountains and not on the road, for sure.

We hit the top to the sounds of African drums and a big band to start the long descent into Hout Bay. It was about this time that ...

... views. After an hour on the bus, via a scenic route, we arrived at Simon's Town where Boulders is. We went to the beach and see the penguins. Nice but small! We didn't want to swim so we went back to the hotel form15 min and headed toward the sea front We are at kurgsmann where we ate the best beef ribs ever and a good steak. Before going to bed we packed up the gifts for the old people we were to see ...

Cape Point

A travel blog entry by rosewj on Aug 12, 2013

... and good fun once the wind was behind you. A good picnic lunch then we drove down to the Cape of Good Hope - the most south westerly point in Africa, and saw some ostriches on the way. Lots and lots of tourists wanting a picture with the sign and was really windy, so I got back on the bus with the driver - an old man who promised to make me his wife! Then drove to Cape Point ...
