Yesterday we had the briefing for my next 2 week tour, this time of Northern Slovenia and Croatia and the Italian Alps. My bike is a Suzuki DL 1000 which is the big brother of the 650 I was on for the previous tour. It has more power, more comfort, plus traction control and a slipper clutch. Stopped at Varazdin for the night and walked that evening in the light rain around this mystical historic town. Quite romantic ...

On Wednesday we walked over to the train station to see how much trouble it would be to take a train to Ljubljana. The guy at the station was super friendly and helpful (as per usual it seems in Slovenia) - so I may venture off there at some point. We continued our walk by visiting the local cathedral again and had a coffee at a lovely cafe. In the afternoon we walked from Ljutomer to my sisters house in Gresovčak (about an hours walk) and took ...

... investment, only to have prices crash on them. They've decided to keep the property anyways as an escape from an over-crowding Britain.

Tuesday was a bit of a day off. We switched accommodations and moved right into the town of Ljutomer, excited to explore our new surroundings. We checked out the town square and found a pretty amazing stork nest on top of an old chimney...the biggest bird nest I've ever seen. How they were able to construct it is beyond me. In ...
