... waves were much bigger. The boat was a pretty powerful one, and as it began to cut through the waves of the open ocean, there was almost continuous spray on us. We were getting drenched by some waves. As I looked to my side, Caroline was all beaming. When she loves something, she transforms in to this kid. With every wave that sprayed us, she would laugh. I tried to explore a little though. Jakarta was crowded, polluted, it seemed quite disjointed in its design. Huge office blocks next to crumbling buildings and in one part there was a golf course, in the middle of the city. Certain roads I couldn't go down due to no footpaths or security blocking them. It covers a wide area though and as far as.I can now see is divided into North, South, East West ...

... and only a handful of local fisherman. If it was flat here we would head south to find more exposed breaks to the swells.
