... isn't famous for its must see attractions, i got the impression it's one of those places that, the longer you stay, the more things you will discover to see and do. The locals were very friendly, although i didn't get the stares and "Hey mister" i've received in Indonesia up until now. I guess they're used to us foreigners (bouley) here in the capital. So while my time here was short, i still got a taste of the place and if i ever come back, i'll now know what to do and how to do it.

Jakarta - a long entry for 5 days

... 17, at 7:45 am, there was a throng of people waiting there. All tourists, and all asians. Mostly the well to do Indonesians, with a mix of Chinese as well. So, our question about who was paying such high prices was answered. The next hour was just craziness, as we first waited through the delay. ... newly purchased selfie sticks. After being accosted several times by groups of school children asking us questions to practise their English and filming it as evidence, as well as posing with several local families for photos, we found some calm in a rooftop bar watching the colourful chaos below with ice cold lemon teas. We then said our goodbyes to Indonesia after spending three awesome weeks there and hopped on our afternoon flight back to the best city in the ...

New apartment

Here is my apartment, it's not so good. The appearance is mediocre, but the rest is a shambles.

Everything is broken, the washing machine and air conditioning don't work. My bed is DISGUSTING. With stains on the mattress and a U shaped indentation from years of use. It is also just lying on the floor. I can't believe that someone looked at this mattress and simply put a sheet on it and expected me to sleep on it.
