Trains from 9am-5pm to get to the other side of Germany. Loooong trip via Frankfurt and Cologne, but it was very interesting to see the countryside. It was Beautiful through the Rhine Valley. ... has suggested we visit enroute. Bamberg is one of them and is supposed to be one of the most attractive towns in Germany..we'll see!

Today we travelled through a lot of rural Germany. The question we kept asking was 'where are all the people?' Even around the hotel in this residential area, nobody was outside, no people walking along the pavements..really strange..as if The Dawn of the Planet of the Apes had happened!

... a woman from Germany and there were presently some marital issues and he was here attempting to resolve those issues and visit his children. It was only after I got home and did a bit of searching that I discovered he was the conductor of the orchestra and has also had quite a few positions in Germany. He also indicated that within the last couple of years he has conducted the Indianapolis Symphony and the Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra.

... It was primarily an Italian menu and I chose the Ravioli gefüllt mit Nüßen und Feigen in Salbeibutter mit Hönig und Caprino (Ravioli filled with nuts and figs in sage butter with honey and goat cheese). This proved to be much better than I had originally imagined. After that it was surveying a bit more of the city and returning home.
