... tower. 140 m high, it's quite an impressive view of the city and the surrounds. In every direction the city is surrounded by paddocks and farm land with lots of windmills. We then visited the botanical gardens and particularly enjoyed the indoor exhibition of tropical plants and the butterfly house. ... headed out in to the autumn sunshine to the park. In Leipzig there is a bizarre phenomenon, where people gather on this bridge in the park, and just sit on the curbside. Not on the open areas of soft grass. Not even on park benches. For some reason they choose the uncomfortable concrete of the gutter to sit on.
