... we found that the next train was an hour away, and we were a bit concerned we might not be able to get back to our hotel tonight. So we walked back to the hotel and joined G&G for dinner in the hotel restaurant. A very traditional German restaurant and I was extremely pleased to see potato dumplings on the menu. ... a woman from Germany and there were presently some marital issues and he was here attempting to resolve those issues and visit his children. It was only after I got home and did a bit of searching that I discovered he was the conductor of the orchestra and has also had quite a few positions in Germany. He also indicated that within the last couple of years he has conducted the Indianapolis Symphony and the Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra.

... has to be at least 10 times the size of Bautzen and yet it is virtually a pedestrian zone--although there are occasional taxis, buses and the occasional passenger vehicle. It really makes for pleasant walks.
