... is a nice grocery only 2 blocks away and there are other shops in the area, but again not like in my other locations where almost everything was close at hand. If I am tired or not in the mood to walk, there is a streetcar stop about 3 blocks from the apartment that goes to the center of town and the Hauptbahnhof (main train station). ... Forum Leipzig, which has a permanent exhibit about Germany's divided history. This exhibit surprised me, because the take-away message was really negative. The exhibit was quite disorganized and (maybe intentionally) mixed the examples of every-day life with information about spying, oppression, and escape attempts.
