... tracks and making one wrong turn we reached the laundry station. Realizing we didn't have the coin money necessary to run two washers and also buy the detergent we purchased some drinks from the nearby vending machine. Upon Kat's suggestion I tried some creamy looking drink with some cube pictures on the front. I later found out the the cubes were actually in the drink and me being fickle about not having to chew my drinks had the first poor choice regarding ...
Taito, Kanto, Japan seanandkat... video clips showing some of the chants. Classic. We went crazy for most of the afternoon, only leaving our seats......wait a minute, did I say seats.........well, we had purchased standing tickets, but found a couple of seats that even if they were someone elses seats, they rightful seat owners were probably too polite to ask these gaijin to move. Gotta love how nice the japanese people are. Where was I.....oh yeah, we only left our seats to occasionally ...
Tokyo, Kanto, Japan chrisquaredSo I have been here for 10 days now and the inevitable "home sickness" is starting to set in. I feel very "blah" today. I slept in till noonish this morning, made myself a fried egg sandwich which was VERY good, and then just hung out at my place till about two. At two I headed on my way to Church which I was pretty excited for since I'm not feeling the best. There is nothing for me to be not happy about, I am just in that "stage". I know it will ...
Tokyo, Kanto, Japan curiousface... it was onto the train to Tokyo. Now, Tokyo Narita is ****ing miles from the city and took well over an hour but everything is in English so no problems there, shame really, less of a challenge. The subway is quality, quick, reliable and in comparison, fairly cheap; a 1000 yen for a day pass, about a fiver. Hostel was fine, and shared with two Asian people and a bloke from...........Leyton!! Who obviously didn't support Orient! He was here on business and there weren ...
Tokyo, Kanto, Japan alwill1... on the roof. I had hoped to purchase a souvenir or 2 from one of the shops before we left but the selection was not particular relevant to me and the sardine tin circumstances prevented any serious browsing. By the time we had made it back to Omiya then taken another MAX Shinkansen back to Tokyo the hour was growing late and, with Steve becoming increasingly weary with a cold, we made the choice to return to Maihama. This could not go ahead without thought of dinner, for ...
Maihama, Japan v1213... that our tired Japanese friends didn't have to rush around. They didn't have to rush, and they had an hours train ride to get back home at the end of the night. And he was keeping us waiting! Our Japanese friends were hungry and tired. And me as well! I wasn't put on the planet purely to make his life easier! I'd leant money to him, which I didn't want to do as its so hard to get out, and had been as nice as possible to what was essentially a ...
Tokyo, Japan emmaireland... 11 a.m., so you are not tired and don't really want to sleep. Second, you get your own movie library at your seat (we watched The Departed and then some cheesy movie with Kevin Costner and Ashton Kutcher - cliche city!). Third, you get a nice set of socks and slippers to wear on the flight. Top that off with a fillet mignon dinner and some nice French wine and it's sort of a ...

Tokyo, Japan camillal... line from central Tokyo and was quickly out to the main gates buying my all inclusive day pass. It was mid-week and there were next to no kids about, which meant that the usual long queue for all the good rides was non-existent. That in-turn meant I had about 10 rides on Space Mountain the indoor rollercoaster. I also enjoyed the Tea Cups. The Disney parade also made an appearance before I left.
Tokyo, Japan jag... in the country yesterday and said "I have only 7 days left at Nova dayo... Nakitai." (I want to cry) she ran around the counter and gave me a huge hug and said "Nakanai de."
