... and all my English teachers greeted me and asked how I was. It was good seeing everyone again. Even the grumpy teachers (and there's a few) wished me a happy new year. I was 20 minutes early so I decided to explore the school and see who was about. Thing with Japanese schools are that although they are officially on holiday time, teachers and students will probably be there every single day still. After church we went to the center of the city for some Christmas cards and Chris decided we should go through the Christmas market since the snow made it more festive than when we had been there a week or so ago, pre-snow. ... us to spend the night there. We were welcomed by the gracious family, given
rooms, food and looked after well. I had been welcomed in many places this trip already but having a personal connection like this was great. I got to see the way a real Japanese home worked, the guys and I went out to a local neighborhood pub that night and met some more friends. We had a fairly mellow night, told the guys about my journey so far. They seemed pretty amused, especially the Japanese guys ...
