We walked under the myriad of arches and columns and even enjoyed the orchard of orange trees outside, before heading out towards the nearby Roman bridge. There were a number of tour groups walking around, but because it was off-season, it really felt like we had the whole town to ourselves.

... calm water from the pool and the lights on top were made to look like stars. I have never been more relaxed and it really difficult to care about anything when you are this relaxed :) Next was the cold pool. At 16 degrees or so, this bath lasted just about 30 seconds. The cold water is meant to stimulate the body. It sure did the trick as after the cold bath I was wide awake. Then the hot pool - again this was very relaxing. We spent about 10 mins here. ...

Cordoba has an annual festival held in early May called the Patio Festival. During this festival some 40-50 homes open up their patios to public viewing when geraniums, carnations, roses etc are in full bloom. Apparently it is one of the biggest events in the city.
