... cheese and ham, different sorts of homemade jam and of course many sweet things that they like but we typically don't take for breakfast. Also, i switched back to coffee here in sicily, that is to say expresso, lots of caffeine, almost no water and lots of sugar.
After a quick breqkfqst we left around 8.30 for our trip.

Arrival in Sicily

... going on on the square in front of the restaurant. As usual in Italy, men very well dressed with designer glasses, suits and ties (30 degress yes!) and women in high heels and long dresses on coble stones. They seemed to have fun and we enjoyed watching the event.

Now preparing for tomorrow: a moderate trip of 70 kms to Nubia. Breakfast at 8 and then the first round in the tour of West Sicily.

... br> This town was obviously a holiday town for the ordinary Italian families, and was very like Blackpool. Unfortunately most of the shops were shut as we arrived in the siesta time. Sicily really adheres to this unless it is somewhere like Taormina.

Met at 2.00 pm to be taken back to our hotel. As we have to pack and get ready to go to Palermo ...
