But it’s all an experience, doing car repairs en français. I’m amazed really, that at half past four on a Friday afternoon a) anyone is up for doing any work, and b) they can whip the wheel off, and the tyre, and fix a puncture, all within about 15 minutes.

I have just driven through the Fréjus tunnel from Modane, France to Bardonecchia, Italy. Coming out of the tunnel and seeing the buildings you are in no doubt that you're in a different country. It was so high obliviously but it was amazing. I don't think I've ever been that high except for in a plane. It was amazing. It was really neat. To check out the views. It was beautiful up there. However once obviously didn't ...

        Lake Annecy

Six degrees when we woke so the heater went on for warmth and a shower. We said our goodbyes to Mark and Michelle and headed towards Annecy. The weather was not clear enough to take the gondola up Mont Blanc at Chamonix so we might try on Monday when it shows clear blue skies. We hadn't gone far before we were detoured and again it was a narrow winding road which we had to take carefully as it was raining and the roads were slippery. It was only an ...
