It is not a tourist town, despite having quite a few attractions, but it obviously has a lot of grandparents who care for grandchildren in the school holidays given the number of kids pouring off the trains into the arms of older people! Back to Chambery, and home about 6:00pm.
Had a dinner at a nice Italian restaurant tonight. As it is so close, there is a large Italian influence in this regions with many Italian restaurants.
Tomorrow, we do the drive to Nice. havent decided on the actual route yet, but they all say around 5 hours, so we should do it in about 8 - allowing for lots of little stops.

Left Paris yesterday, and caught the train to Chambery.
The trip is very easy - once you have travelledby train once, it is very easy to do in France.
