... rest of Andrassy was closed off because of a major horse show that was taking place in Heroes Square. That was fun.

On the way back we stopped in at St. István's Basilica, an imposing and impressive building. We spent some time exploring the impressive interior, especially the frescos on the dome. The market is the largest and oldest in Budapest and was very interesting -large indoor area with the ground floor dedicated to fresh food (fruit and vegetables, meat, sausages etc.) and the first floor had souvenir stalls. We returned to the boat late afternoon - I have managed to pick up a cold (along with several others on the boat) so I needed to get some rest! Final dinner on board and everyone ...

... group of the teens would be very impressive, especially considering we didn't speak a word of Hungarian...Ended back in the hostel after a rather anti-climatic night and realized tonight, was not our night...No worries we had 2 more nights to use and figured we'd store our energy.

... Basilica. It was a 45 minute concert in the wonderfully cool church that covered the big pieces that everyone knows, from Ave Maria to Bach's Toccatta and Fuge in D Minor. It was Jim's first concert in a live venue so it was great to see his reaction to it. It's always different to feel the vibrations of the organ in your chest, as opposed to hearing it on the radio. Got off at Budapest Keleti train station a little after 12:30 PM. Wanted to go to the bathroom but it was pay to pee so I decided it could wait. Bathrooms at the airports are always free. Got on the Red line (M2) and went a few stops until I transferred to the M3 (blue line) and took that ...
