... was happy to hear we wanted to go back to bed and we piled back into the car, for the 30 minute drive back to the suburbs.
We said good night and made our way back to the suite, locking the bottom and the top latch as we couldn't remember what we were told to do and decided we'd rather be safer than not safe enough, considering they had 2 small children. It had been a busy first day and we were looking forward to a good night sleep in preparation for a long day ahead.
... Dad couldn't and Uncle Wayne hadn't yet. The Edge is a room that comes out from the 88th floor and then the floor and walls become clear glass with views down and around. Long way up, the elevator takes 36 seconds to go up the 88 floors, made our ears pop :)

... civilization. Melbourne runs a free shuttle that makes a big square around the city center, about a one-hour ride, with a recorded speaking tour of the main sites. I simply can’t imagine the same in the U.S. – a free shuttle smacks of socialism. Certainly, it would be all right for tourists, but U.S. citizens would no doubt begin to ride it as the locals have learned to do in Melbourne. Who knows what free shuttles ...
