As we were wandering the streets and trying to get ourselves oriented to the town we stopped into the Igrejada Mesericordia – the church of mercy- one of the few buildings that remained standing after the huge earthquake in the 1700’s. Après trois jours au mouillage près de Culatra, nous avons décidé de mettre Kivu sur le sable. Nous avons donc bougé de 500 mètres et sommes dans une petite baie pour nous tous seuls. We got packed up early this morning and ready to meet Terry (from our intrepid group) to go out to Belem together for the morning. We took a taxi out and arrived there just before 10am, perfect timing as it turned out the sights opened at 10 so we beat a lot of the crowds.
