    ... I think it was the last part of the Manguinhos Beach. Nothing great , just walked along side the beach for a bit - and then sat down watching the sea for a while. At around 7 pm decided to have good at a Thai restaurant - OMG what an ambience - amazing - the food was really good too.

    After that, walked towards the city centre - the streets were just amazing - very touristy ofcourse, and I could imagine how busy this place ...

    ... normal just in case one of them sees size 13 foot imprints in their previously perfectly laid cement and I need a head start. I get to the grocery store and I FINALLY FIND MILK!!!!!!!!!!!! This was the problem, the milk is just sitting on a shelf in a one liter box as opposed to sitting in a cooling unit in a plastic gallon carton. I think a liter is 1/3 the size of a gallon. So, apparently Brazil doesn┤t like to sell cold milk. ...

    The beaches are packed. With everything closed, the beach is the place. Copacabana and Ipanema are 20 people thick all along. Great for people watching but not great for beaching. I have a list of activities for Copacabana so I decide to experience a different side of Carnaval. Ipanema has a bloco early. Fun but packed.
