... Portugal and was the only one until the mid 1900s and boy do you have to be in good shape to go there. The University is on the top of a hill of winding cobbled streets and when we got to the top we once again told ourselves to get into better shape. The University is gorgeous and has wonderful views of the river and the city. After walking around for a little bit and ...

We then drove back west to Alcobaca. The Cistercian Monastery of Santa Maria was closed, but beautiful enough from the outside. Even at Batalha the Monastery was closed but the square around, was beautiful for a short rest stop. Tired by then we thought of dropping Fatima, but decided to drive up, as it was not far from our ...

Portugal's Treasure - Coimbra

... and long staircases, smell of a fresh Galao (café latte) and history on every corner. My favorite activity in Coimbra was simply walking through its narrow streets and watching the red sunset light on its old city walls. As for the places, this is my top list: - Se Velha (Old Cathedral). It's definitely one of the most beautiful buildings you will find in Coimbra that dates back to 1139. I used to go ...

Coimbra, Portugal!!! Impossible to leave!

... which is out of the city centre. Long and short of it, took me well over an hour with lots of walking up hills and asking for directions to find the hostel. Made friends with some Portuguese people from the hostel and we shared a meal almost everynight, great nights of amazing homecooked meals usually ending with a guitar being brought out and singing a bunch of American classic rock ...

... to drop out to those cool cats we meet on our travels. The flyer has an image gallery and news of eleven Aussie parties on the psytrance trail and also speaks of the important gathering planned for Cairns in 2012. We cruised past the downtown BOOM shop where our passports and ipod had been kept in a safe for the week. We hadn´t really felt the thieving vibe happening at the festival but we like to have peace of mind and still used the padlock system on our tent. At the ...

... maailmas! Ülikool on jagatud 8 teaduskonnaks, kus õpib ca 22 000 tudengit.

Bucaco (Bussaco) & Brownie the tour guide

... She let us pet her, and then turned briskly away walking ahead and looking back at us to follow her. We did. We kept up with her, up the steep rocky paths into the woods and up to a stunning view down to the hotel. Each time we followed her into the woods, we traced our journey on the trail map the hotel had given us--but never once needed the map to find our way. We just followed Brownie as she walked the paths to some of the most stunning and isolated viewspoints ...

More Than I Planned To

Hello...

I'm in Portugal now. Last I wrote was in Toledo, I think...I took a night train to Lisbon, where I stayed for one night. It's nice, as far as big cities go, but it's a big city. It's very diverse and the people are real laid back.

After that I went to Sintra, just west of Lisbon. It's a little town in the mountains. Lots of shade, green, and fresh air. I spent many more days there than I planned to. The first night I arrived ...
