    ... A women's group. Three yachts were already in the water and this one was preparing to go. Lagos was a walled town, so we entered by what was a gate, there were no walls left to speak of, but they had been built in the 14c. It was a lovely little place, again had shiny square cobbles and narrow streets and alley ways. Lots of tourist shops mixed with ordinary ones and bars cafés and restaurants .     ... people are very friendly and optimistic and living in the present. There is sense that things are getting a little bit better. It certainly makes us feel very fortunate to live in Canada as we heard similar stories while we were in Spain.
