Our next stop took us to San Miguel de Allende in the State of Guanajuato, where we got shortly before dusk and checked in another Lonely Planet recommended hotel. This one though was a real pretty one with a nice garden, parrots whistling "Puerto Rico" and entertaining all guests. We have now spent 10 days in our new neighborhood and it is working out well. I had some concerns since it was written up as being "in transition". It certainly is, real estate wise, land is being bought up, (mostly by Canadians and Americans) and being built on. Old houses, or unfinished newer ones are picked up and fixed up. ... We will drive to Albuquerque, then Sedona, then Salt Lake City, then Spokane. After a short stay in "the can," we head back for Seattle.
