Today the tide was out and the beach went far beyond its normal limits allowing us to walk farther and view the variegated cliffs and the green, algae-coated rocks normally covered with seawater. We traveled to Faro airport in southern Portugal on Tuesday and drove to our new apartment in Praia de Luz. We love Portugal. The weather is warm, about 80 degrees during the day and down to about 70 or 75 at night. Every day is sunny and the sky is blue, almost the same deep blue as the Atlantic ocean near our apartment. We made it back to Jade eventually, although with quite a lot of difficulty, assuming that the wind would die down overnight as the heat of the day faded, but once again we found ourselves with strong winds all night.
