... a small public park with a playground. Beyond the park we entered an area of the city which had mostly newer apartment buildings with ground floor shops. There were many famous name Italian brands on display at substantial discount, but as it was siesta, everything was closed much to Jeed's and Stewart's disappointment.

We found a shop selling Gelati and then found our way back through the old part of the ...

Day 5

The kids got up late. It seems we are well and truly recovered from any jet lag. Jeed and I spent the best part of the morning checking email. We arrived at around 9 pm greeted at the bus stop by our couch surfing host Giussepe. Upon our arrival to his home we made home made pasta together, nothing beats fresh noodles, pasta will never be the same. We retired early, pasta late at night makes ...

Today we travelled to Lecce, an hour away from Cisternino, along the highway past the beaches and it was very hot today from morning till about six pm so I took my togs just in case! Lecce is a larger city and we heard it was the 'Florence of the south' but when we got there after finally getting a park we hadn't noticed anything spectacular yet! We walked through the large arch in the wall of the old city and up the ...
