... in Pakistan, nur 100 Meter von uns entfernt, waren die Pakistani in der 'Muttenzerkurve' fuer ihr Land am faenen: "Pakistan Zindabad" (long live Pakistan) schallte es hinueber. Die Inder liessen sich nicht 2 mal bitten. Umgehend erschallte aus der Lautsprecheranlage auf dem Dach des Grenzpostens eine Maennerstimme, welche einen Sprechgesang initiierte, der von der Masse schreiend kompletiert wurde:

Day 2 Lahore

The roads are a mad house, no one takes any notice of traffic lights and you take your life in your hands when you cross the road, it’s the bikes that are the worse, they actually aim for you and it is good if you are good at the body swerve, still keeps you on your toes (a lot of road kill in the gutters, I suppose that is street food ...
Busy day

We all wandered around a bit and gave fairly useless suggestions. It was fairly obvious it was a number of things wrong so we gradually ended up fixing them one by one.
Around then we heard a crash on the opposite side. A bike had crashed into a donkey-cart carrying bricks. The Police wanted to do nothing but stand around being useless to us so I went over to see if there was anything I could do to help. ...
Experiencing Lahore
... s house. Thee cheetah attacked one of the women in the house and then went into the kitchen. A little boy came and was succesfully able to lock the cheetah into the kitchen! Also, the trainer explained to us that all the other animals get fans in their cages besides the cheetahs, because when the cheetahs first came to their cage, they attcked the fans!!!

Passing through Pakistan

We have been staying at hotels as our escort won't allow us to camp, but that's great by me as I like air-conditioning and showers. The food is proving to be an issue; most of it is spicy and several of us have had various health issues – I've got the trots for the second time now.
