Allan flies the coup

A travel blog entry by wherrol on Dec 06, 2014

Up before the crack of dawn so Allan could be in time for his flight home. He needed to be at the airport at 8am. We headed out early and went to the spot we picked yesterday - the aircraft viewing area, for a coffee. The plane wheels were almost touching Vincent's roof. Yes seriously.

Sharon dropped Allan off and headed for the hills. All be ...

... an idea. So, after finishing at the gold museum we braved the rain and ran/rode back down the hill to the caravan park. I called into reception at the Caravan park to ask if I could order a taxi to take me to Mazda and thankfully one of their cleaners was just leaving and drove straight past Mazda to get home and offered us a ride. We loved LOVED Sovereign Hill. WE love that they counted our whole family in the entry price. And they have a buy one day, get the next consecutive day free... perfect when you don't want to push the littlies too hard.

Thaddeus found some gold flecks, they dipped their own candles, we bought hats for the boys, went down into a real mine, had a marvelous time. Let the pictures speak for themselves. As usual, click on the pics to them bigger or in a slide show.
