Ballarat is only a 2 hour drive from Melbourne and well worth a visit on the way to Adelaide. It became the world's biggest gold rush town in the 1860's and the world's biggest gold nugget was found here. Because of this Ballarat has a very interesting history and played a pivotal role in making Australia a country in its' own right, no longer just a British colony. Today Fed and Sylvia (F & S) took Stu and I to see where they used to live - they used to have a farm. We also got to visit there friends in Anakie, and then we went into Geelong and had a walk along the seafront... we saw the old restored Carousel. We then went to see Stephens (F & S's son) house, which is up for sale.... Stu and I would love to buy his house! Then it was back to Melton.

... of the weekend is Luna Park on Saturday and Picnic in the park Sunday. First step is to get into a routine. Been unemployed for some time now and getting up in the morning has never been a strong point, but alas i have managed to get out of bed at five am.
