... of the Eureka Rebellion which was caused by a disagreement over what gold miners felt were unfair laws and policing by the government. Police invaded the mines to enforce licensing laws which led to a clash between the miners and the police in December 1854. 125 miners were taken prisoner, 6 police and 22 miners were killed during the fighting. The show was very well done, there are no actors in the show, it is all done with lights and special effects ...

... a few suburbs down (suburb is Northcote, park is All Nations Park) which was huge. It just seemed to go on and on, as well as having really nice views of the city.

Saturday night we had been invited to dinner at G's Zia's house so we left home about 5:30 to go there. We had a really nice evening there, with too much amazing food and wine. We didn't get home until almost 1am, and as we were driving home our car said it was only 2 degrees!

... of Old Sydney Town, with people in character , costumes and chat, but there were a lot of shops and workshops making stuff you can buy there. Candles, tin ware, iron mongrel, hats, lollies and more. We saw a gold pour, lolly making, candle making and had a tour of the diggings. $47 entry. You can go back the next day and entry includes entry to the gold museum. Lots of photos. Big day, but learnt a lot. Third night at Smythesdale Gardens. We stopped at the General Store in Smythesdale for a pie, but they were unlucky and had to have a sausage roll and a pasty instead - I got to lick up the crumbs, that's all I got!
Note to Mum: please don't smother them in tomato sauce as I don't really like that. Gravy is nice, but cats don't like tom sauce!
