We left the Hostel in Sydney early today (Sat), and traveled by van, plane,bus train, and shanks mare to arrive in the far suburb of Mawson Lakes for a night's stay...not a single Hostel bed could we find, in the city of adelaide thanks to Cricket! ... that Adelaide has but a lot of them are empty as the work has moved down river. There is some redevelopment alongside the quayside though and we expect that in a few years the old port will reinvent itself as so many have elsewhere and become 'exclusive'.
We came here during the Adelaide Festival which takes place each year from Mid February and has a fringe festival. We saw buskers, singers, dancers and variety acts strutting their stuff in the the main streets ...
