Boxing day (2.juledag) i Australia Zoo
... i en af ambulancerne og kørt væk.
Da vi havde sundet os lidt over livredningsaktionen,
og maden havde lagt sig godt i maven, tog vi ”Steve´s Safari Shuttle” rundt i
parken. Her stod vi af og på efter som det passede med, at vi undervejs fik set
dyrene og diverse dyrefodringer af bl.a de gamle landskildpadder og de meget
mere livlige små asiatiske oddere. Vi gik ind i et indhegnet område, hvor
børnene kunne håndfodre grå og røde ...
Juleaften i Caloundra
... fandt gaverne, som
vi havde købt til børnene hernede, frem og lagde dem på bordet. Børnene blev
enormt overraskede og glade, da de så gaverne. De havde fået at vide at der
ingen gaver var hernede, da vi ikke kunne rejse med dem. Det var så dejligt at
se dem så overraskede. Efter at gaverne var pakket ud, spiste vi desserten;
pandekager med syltetøj og rørsukker.
Alle gik vi i seng kl. 21.00, trætte efter en rigtig
lang og begivenhedsrig juleaften i Australien.

Day 30 of 88: Strawberries we bid you farewell

Mooloolaba and for Steph it was a chance to catch up with some work friends, so we dropped her off in Mooloolaba for the night and arrange to collect her on Saturday afternoon, providing everyone with some much needed space. Sunday was spent in Coloundra, exploring the markets, boardwalk and music festival before we headed off to Bald Knob to get a picture next to the roadsign and amuse our inner child.
