... the tigers chasing and then threw the toy over the pool... the tigers jumped after it creating a splash big enough to wet the audience. It was amazing and both me and Jon were very jealous of the keeper.<br><br>We also saw yet another new animal for us... an echidna, a crazy hedgehog with a thin snout.<br><br>An excellent day... if a little creepy at how obsessed they are with Steve... we didn't pay to have a magic photo with him.

This is where out tale takes a funny turn and the term 'retards' comes into play! We had booked the rest of our accommodation whilst up in Airlie. ... and then went for a mega ice-cream. When we got the hostel they gave us a voucher for bogof ice-cream and a free glass of wine at a welcome meeting which was nice! Today, Friday, the others went to Australia Zoo so I explored on my own. I went to a lookout point and then went on the ferry up the Noosa River which was pleasant! Tomorrow I leave for Rainbow Beach so am keeping my fingers massively crossed this gorgeous weather stays with us! x

Ich sitze gerade im Bus auf dem Weg zum Office und bin unendlich froh darüber, dass hier eine Klimaanlage drin ist. Obwohl es gerade mal halb 9 morgens ist, ist es SO heiß, dass es sogar im Haus kaum auszuhalten war. Today we left Burleigh Heads early in the morning driving to Brisbane to catch the ferry for Moreton Island , a spectacular sandy island right in front of Brisbane. After 1 hour and 30 minutes we arrive in this amazing national park, where we spend the day layng on the sand, swimming, going on sand dunes by 4wd quods, and at the sunset feeding dolphins!

... Well we still don't know what we hit. No body does and its been 4 days and were all drying to know what it was. Sorry not resolution to that story but it sure left us all very uneasy and wondering. Hopefully we'll find out soon. I can only imagine what its like to be in a earth quake. Well, after 4 days of long driving we made it to Caloundra on the Sunshine Coast. We have unloaded the dogs to a kennel overnight while we stay in a hotel to escape the tent, and go to Australia Zoo. Next we are off down the coast towards Melbourne...

I was eager to join them and get a feel for the some of the coastline- turned out they had stopped in Scarborough, a town a bit out. But the public transport went out that far...
