Yesterday, Charlie and I went up to Hosmer Lake with the boat. Got there early and onto the lake. It is lake with a lot of reeds and water leaves, much more than when we were here 2 years ago. The girls were up a 5 a.m. Dad got Sophia back to sleep, but AJ's empty tummy insisted on breakfast. Raisin Bran was followed by half-a-game of Chess and her first game of Stratego. By that time the rest of the house was up.

Dad and I went for a walk down to the river. We crossed over Cardinal Bridge and found a good spot to fetch sticks out of the river. Super fun. Dad insists on me holding the stick to hand but its hard to hold on when shaking ...

Dad snuck out to the SHARC work out room this morning. The dog slept. Afterward Dan & Julia played a Dominion expansion scenario which resulted in a very lopsided victory for us boys. ... and then form the Caldera... the Caldera is like a huge bowl sitting on the valley floor....

Once we finished on the top of the Caldera around Paulina Lake, we drove down to the lake and threw the ball for the dog and ran him in and out of the lake... we looked at some of the camp sights and decided we could camp there with the 5th wheel and maybe canoe the lake... Next time ...

... looking for a motel on both sides of the road. I found one behind a building and we drove up to it and got out but it turned out the "motel" was actually a shelter for homeless people. lol.. Well, there were was a big (actual) motel just across the street and looking pretty nice I thought it would be expensive but it was just 65$ for one night so great value for money as we have been paying up to alittle more than a hundred in some places.
