On our mission we approached the lawns of one if the historic buildings (where we suspected the cache to be) when we were approached by a friendly park ranger (in period dress) that was eager to give us a tour of his building (an old courthouse). When I looked at Queen Wilhelmina S.P. online, I was stunned by the pictures of what looked like a high class resort. Although the park didn't quite live up to the hype, the stpo as a whole was amazing.

... actually a 37 acre field where millions of years ago a volcano brought diamonds to the surface of the earth. This is the only diamond producing area in North America that is open to the public. Here you go into the field that is only dirt and rock, and search for diamonds by digging and sifting the dirt through screening in hopes of finding a diamond. ... the trees, and on the ground. There were ropes and logs and cables stretching all across the forest! We had a really fun time on all the obstacles on the ropes course!

Once we were back down on the ground and out of our harnesses, we drove to our hotel in Mena. Along the way, we saw many more beautiful pink flowering trees. Now here in Mena, we are planning our route home for tomorrow. We've had a great trip!
