    ... about 4pm ish. Beautiful setting for today's camp. Back to nature after last few campsites. Temp now cool 20s from high 20s/30s made for pleasant evening. We purchased some wood for the BBQ and fire and half the group set off for short hike. Myself and rest of group A plus Michelle tried to get fire going. Very Interesting task, wet wood plus short burning paper made it hard task. So as you do I tried burning my ...

    ... Iron” for a very
    good meal. When we emerged from the restaurant it was raining heavily, and it continued to rain all afternoon and late into the night. It rained a total of 7 inches today, and the creek in back of their Sue & Al’s home rose several feet, flooding the lower part of their property.

    Travel Day



    Leaving Vicksburg we headed west on I-20 across Louisiana
    to Shreveport, and from there we headed north on US 71 into Arkansas and our
    destination of Mena Arkansas. We arrived
    at our good friends, Sue and Al, home late in the afternoon. After an enjoyable dinner at a local restaurant
    we spent the evening catching up on what has happened since we last saw them.

    ... they can collapse and pack smaller in the prop truck. Instead of putting a lot of work into the fishing dock, he’s decided to fish out of a barrel instead so he and Oscar bought a blue barrel that we’ll need to clean out and paint the outside of to make it look like a wooden barrel. Even though the barrel won’t break down obviously, it’s much smaller and all of his smaller props can just fit inside of it.
