... Knights of the Order of the St John of Jerusalem, who captured the island in 1314 and held it until 1522 when it fell to the Turks. There was so much to see there, relics, including old cannons, many cannon balls and lots of metal helmets were also found. We also saw The Tree of Hippocrates called the plane tree, it's diameter is about12 metres, the current tree is only about 500 years old, but may possibly be a descendant of the original tree which allegedly ...

... wanted a lift, we jumped in and we were dropped by the town. We walked to the marina again to see even bigger boats moored up, unbelievable amount of money. We had another lovely lunch at Dede's before returning to our villa. We have been able to talk to our parents today and the girls on FaceTime this week.Friends from home Daniel and Gill arrive today, they are staying in a lovely hotel nearby. We are looking forward to spending some time with them whilst they are staying ...

... 15 miles from Bodrum, it has very few guests which is perfect for feeling as though you have the place to yourself. The private beach was lined with chairs and grass tiki huts, but only four other people were at the beach. Our breakfast included the largest buffet I've ever encountered with fruits, breads, jams, nuts, yogurt, cheeses, meats, eggs, coffee and juices for this lazy day. Tonight we plan to check out the sushi bar ...
