Today was a good day exploring Vermont. We saw lots of great covered bridges. Designed like this to stop the bridges getting icy and also to preserve their longevity. ... catch our Amtrak train to New York. The train was only 7 minutes late - in Amtrak terms that's not late! By the time we left church the fog had cleared and its now a glorious sunny day. I was able to take a few photos of Bethel as the train passed through on its way south. ... of New York State and saw some snow on one of the mountains (Mt Marcy perhaps?). Home down the Interstate which was much quicker than our earlier journey. Lin's parents and brother came to dinner so we had home cooked baked beans (in maple syrup which were very yummy), cooked ham, coleslaw and then I had cooked a pavlova for dessert.
