... br>BUT Linda you were probably right: I've moved on and prefer to do my own thing and seem to be managing it somehow.
Please don't get me wrong, I met some lovely people on this trip and hope to stay in touch with some of them and I would probably not have seen as much if I'd been doing it for myself, but anyhow, I think I've graduated from 'supported travel class' and now, for better or worse, am an independent traveller!
... but over a portion of my own seat space, which his arm oozed into. When it came time to sleep I found myself pressed up against him, shoulder to wrist, his hairy warm arm firmly against my own. It was disgusting. I wrapped up in a blanket so I wouldn’t have to feel his skin on mine, and he had the nerve to adjust my covering so that it would tuck in over him. We didn’t exchange a single word the entire 10 hour flight.

... that day (big mistake). Tom & I spent the day leisurely - eating Western food for lunch (veggie burger for me), walking around, shopping and catching up on e-mail. We booked a tour to the Cu Chi tunnels for Monday and I could only hope that my eyes would improve by then (at least the tunnels are dark right?). During the early evening we headed to the night market and purchased some souvenirs to send back home. Afterward we headed back to the beer stand from the night before and ...

After talking for a little while, I asked if he wanted to watch the Hangover since I'd bought a bootleg copy of it from the mall in Bangkok and had yet to see it. We grabbed a few beers and threw it on my laptop. It was a good time. Dave is leaving for Mui Ne tomorrow morning but both he and I are going to Hoi An later so we might meet up again.

I really enjoyed Saigon. It was a great place to chill and watch the locals go about their daily lives. Although there really isn't much that rates as a sight, we managed to spend seven days there - that is a testament to how I found the place in itself. We left on Day 8 for the Mekong Delta. So tune in next time folks for our next update.
Au revoir!

... if you light up and if you test positive (which I assume means your body temperature is too high) they quarantine you. It’s all very organized. This masked entrẻ continued as we drove into Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Saigon). This is the land of motorcycles – Ugandan “boda bodas” have nothing on the Vietnamese scooter. I have never seen so many masked people on scooters in my life people. It is really a ...

On Monday 1st June we did a day tour to the Cao Dai (pronounced cow die) temple and the Cu Chi tunnels. Cao Dai is mix of many religions including Christianity, Buddhism, Taoism and Hindu, the temple was very brightly ...
... Minh Mang must have been either seriously insecure or just plain greedy as all the men who worked close to his concubines had to be castrated. There were 3 kinds of eunuchs ... the physical eunuchs who actually had their genitals cut off ... the chemical eunuchs who since birth had been intended to work for the king so were given medicine to shrink their genitals down to nothing ... and last but not least, the financial eunuchs who paid someone in authority to say that ...
