wahwee!!! finally, the big day has come. so exciting...I packed all my clothes into this big backpack of mine, and throw it over my back. My dad drove me to the airport where i waited for gordon and the rest to come. Francoz said he will send me off, and indeed, he came with a surprise :P We had coffee while waiting for Gordon, and Gordon almost mistook him for my dad as I told him that my dad is sending me off!!! Francoz must be so hurt..haha We took Tiger Airways and to my surprise, it does...
Ansiamos...

... of Vietnam. The cab ride was interesting. Three of us went in one cab and three went in another. When I told the guy to turn on his meter he said...no no the other cab has the meter. I said No sir turn on your meter please and after much pleading and arguing he turned it on. When we got to the airport we paid him the 300,000 dong. I went to the other girls cab and they were about to pay 680,000 dong. My friend can't really do arguing/bartering so I had to take matters into my ...

Ho Chi Minh City, Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam chudu24... in and took the open tour bus. The buses aren't bad, but they never have a toilet and the AC almost never works. The buses take more pit stops than any bus I've ever been on adding HOURS onto your bus trip. This is the most painful on overnight buses when the driver stops at 2am for 2 hours to hang out with his friends. We have had some horrible overnight bus experiences with super uncomfy beds or sleeper seats to sleep on. We just paid for ...

We had chicken chunks in a bag that you shake with seasoning... yummy! And their popcorn is very good, like kettle corn only not as sweet. If we had a food court and a movie theatre like this in the states, I'd be there all the time!<br>It was a perfect evening... and I was so flattered ...
Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam mdh... in Saigon was as adventurous as the first - another history lesson and pampering. We visited Cao Dai, a city about two hours outside Ho Chi Minh City, home to Caodaism, a religion infused with Buddhism, Taoism, and Confucianism. How great is that? A religion that takes the best practices and philosophies of individual religions and rolls it all into one! Visiting Cao Dai temple filled that spot of peace and serenity we sought the day before. The temple ...

Sitting on top of a massive elephant as he ate his way deep into the jungle will be hard to top but the most amazing experiences were the interactions with the people. I like to blend in as much as possible when I go places but there was no blending on this trip. That made things much more fun though in this place. I loved the times that the locals ...
Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam meclayt... the Americans and the South Vietnamese. The tunnels themselves are VERY small. We climbed into one that has been enlarged for tourists but I had to take the 1st exit out... it was too hot, too small (or I'm too tall) and too crowded (we moved along at a snails pace). It was absolutely freaky. We saw some incredibly large centipedes while there and heard about other problems like leaches (esp. if they got into their ears). We stopped for a break where we had the option of ...
