... Most items being sold are grains, fruit, and vegetables from the area. The markets open very early in the morning and are pretty much empty by 9am. It is very interesting to see and it is like a floating farmers market. Mini trip
So we were only here for about 12hours as we wanted to visit the floating market. The menu at the hotel was pretty exotic including eels, rats, frogs and snakes. Safe to say we all steered well clear of these options.
The trip to the floating market meant a 5.30am start for all of us which was Fantastic. But we did get to see the sunrise and the floating market was definitely worth seeing and we managed to get breakfast from there before heading back to Saigon. ...
Phu Quoc Island
... find. Phu Quoc is famous for its night market. An entire street is lit up with seafood and pearl vendors, and its chock full of foreigners and locals. The seafood is literally taken fresh off the boats and brought straight to the grills. It's pretty incredible.
