Day Twenty Three/ Versailles

... Nanna decided not to embark on the long walk to the Grand Canal with us, so we picked her up once we were done. We started the walk with beanies, gloves and tightly buttoned jackets, but finished with bare heads and hands, and jackets slung over arms and shoulders.

Top of the tower
... to the top. It was very windy and cold at the top. The view close to the tower was good but in the distance it was not very clear. On the way down I had a much needed hot chocolate at the second level.
Afterwards I went on a Seine River cruise which left from near the Eiffel Tower. It went along the river to just after the Notre Dame before turning and heading back. This was a nice relaxing hour on the river.

PARIS-NOTRE DAME
... river and past the street stalls. Eventually back tracked and found a bus stop with our bus number, squished into the over crowded bus and got off at the right stop. Another epic day. Had a cocktail at our café on the corner, and I think don’t even remember going back out for dinner!!
