... We spoke to a couple of crew and they were excited that she would be sailing soon. What happened next was fun as the 'put up the sail' drill began. There must have been 30 people scramble up the masts and rigging, all wearing red safety gear, working to put out a sail off the front. From Gothenburg we drove up the scenic coastal route to Oslo, travelling from island to island up the Sodra Bohuslan (southern Bohuslan region) either via bridge or car ferry. P arrived and we spent a long time in a nice cafe. That night we socialised with the other international students on ...

    ... I suppose no smell to non-smokers.

So, after getting to central and pounding the pavement re my phone, I then came across a "Cultural Market" so this is what they mean by "Cultural Week". Lots of food and some craft stalls from different countries. And there was an Aussie one - but manned by Brits! They were serving hamburgers and you had a choice - beef, kangaroo, camel! and crocodile! They apparently had an "Aussie" abuse them earlier in the day saying how dare they serve ...

... to not use our currency converter. And now we're heading to a new country with a new currency. Go figure! We do not, however, have the language figured out. We were looking for a bottle opener from a 7-Eleven last night and had a hard time. I had no idea what he was saying. He had no idea what I was saying. It was like we were playing charades. I've learned that almost everyone speaks English as long as they are under the age of 40-something. ...
