Quality Winn Gothenburg

Nu har vi vaknat upp här hemma, nöjda efter gårdagens firande. Känns helt rätt att bli avvinkad med vänner och skumpa i en jättetrevlig bar! Jag (Jossan) är särskilt nöjd med att få så fin feedback över mina resrädslor och har nu lärt mig att vi i själva verket har en enormt välplanerad resa och att inget kan gå fel och att OM det går fel finns det proffs på flygplatsen som tar hand ...

Gothenburg proved to be a delightful second city. It was full of ethnic restuarants, shopping, and public transit in the shape of a tram or trolley. ... even bought me a beer&#8230; nice people those Dutch. After St. Vincent I rushed off to meet up with Ben and Bevan to a museum where there was an electronic DJ type show going on. After a painful hour and a half wait in line to get in, I finally made it (at 130am). Once inside it took me awhile but I did manage to locate them, and we enjoyed some fat beats and bright lights. The walk home took me nearly an hour&#8230; and it was 4am ...

Got up at 8.30am and went to breakfast at the hotel. We then went on a walking tour around Gothenburg starting at Kungsportsplatsen square which was mostly a construction site covered in scaffolding. We walked down to Saluhallen, the market place of Gothenburg and then on down past the Cathedral. Continued on past the Antique halls and across the river to the East India ...

We slept in later than we planned, but we physically couldn't haul ourselves out of bed any sooner than a little after 8 am. After a beautiful breakfast of the remaining food we had, stored our bags, and did some city exploring. We had read about a free zoo nearby so we headed for that. It was in a very large and beautifully green park, filled with mothers and children and many many playgrounds. It must have been school holidays with the number of kids out and the hordes at the kids ...

When we got to the rink there was some middle eastern music playing and a marquee was up near by for the Iraqi elections. Music, ice and snow - what more could I ask for.
