    ... was built by the Swedish king (Jan, Swen, or something like...) with the assistance of the Dutch, and as such it has a very Amsterdam-like feeling to it. Our favorite part of the tour was passing beneath the lowest bridge, which was the final gateway before entering the harbor.     ... and were the perfect place for a nice, albeit hot, stroll today as we made our way over to the Haga and Linne districts of Gothenburg, neighbourhoods known for their shopping and people-watching.     ... any boat, including a cruise liner – they would have charged a premium apparently. Whether this was as the result of the Costa Concordia accident I’m not sure but it was galling. Presumably the same will apply to us but I’ve yet to check.

    20th - 25th Gotenburg - Mid Summer Party
