Quality Suites Tulsa

Our first night of camping. We visited Will Roger's birthplace that was only a couple miles away. We walked on the boat docks down in the marina. There were a couple hundred boats there, pontoon party boats and sail boats. We saw some really beautiful sailboats.

We're already halfway with an ETA Casa Grande for Sunday. Gray day, fairly easy driving with no specific highlights. We're parked in a KOA attached to a Casino where we will have dinner and may spend a few nickels for fun. The trick is to never play the winnings, otherwise you loose everything. We're moving at a rate of about 300 miles/500 km per day, basically 6+ hours of driving. Thinking of you.

The big excitement coming in to Tulsa was we got a flat tyre on our rental. Matt changed the tyre and we had to stop at the car rental place at Tulsa International Airport to swap it over. Anyway, got a new car okay and then this morning we noticed the front left tyre on the new car was looking suspiciously flat-ish as well!! We went back to the airport and they swapped it again for us. So fingers crossed that third time's teh charm!!

I made Juan drive through downtown Tulsa. Nuff said. >.<

Ok..we have 2 more days till we depart.  Is everyone getting excited?  I know I am.    I just received confirmation from the Hotel in Alabama that we can make signs for the doors.  So let's get those creative juices flowing and make some signs.  Use your imagination and fake fur..maybe a splash of glitter..  Don't forget the coaches.. there is nothing more manly than a coaches name thats been bedazzled.  Here are a few pictures from the car wash.. 

So we are down to 7 days.. 7 days...For a parent don't blink..For a 14 year old its like..omg that's forever and a hundred. Plus if I hear another teenager say "it's like" one more time I'm ramming my car in a wall.

We gained an hour in Tulsa. Our accommodations at the LaQuinta Tulsa Central were perfect. It was new, clean and friendly. The boys went swimming. Alex learned how to do the doggie paddle. We ordered in from the local Italian eatery and watched Kathy Griffin's D-List. Alex engaged in his favorite bed jumping activity. The girls were very relaxed overall.

... t thank her enough for getting Stacey, Ruben, Alexa, and their significant others out (and to keep it a secret). We had lot's of good Mexican good and too many good drinks. My last few days in the US were spent in Dallas enjoying the great food and spending time with Tanya. On one our last nights outs...we even managed to see an authentic India rickshaw patrolling the streets of Dallas. Crazy. Enjoy the pics.

If it's Tuesday it must be Colleyville. We almost had the perfect trip home. woke up at 5am Beijing time Monday, about 6pm Sunday night DFW time. Had no problem with our flight to Tokyo. Had a planned 6 hour layover til our flight to Chicago. Had no problem with the flight to Chicago. Had a planned 2 hour layover til our flight to DFW, which was just about right after getting through ...

Well, here I sit, typing away in great anticipation as to what tomorrows events will hold. I haven't been out of the country in a while, and for me it will be bliss. I have packed effeciently, and light. I am ready to take tons of pictures. I really can't wait. -Peter
