    ... that Montreal is actually an island within this river and was originally called Ville-Marie.

    The tour guide took us through some of the neighborhoods of Montreal which was something we definitely wouldn't have done on our own. It was interesting learning about the history of these neighborhoods. We went to the base of Mont Royal, visited the Jewish Quarter and tried one of the best bagels in all of Canada.

    ... Alcohol. Food. Movies (Django Unchained & The Hangover). Happier. Only slight irritants were that the entertainment system went down for about an hour and that we spent the first 60 minutes of the flight flying over the place we had just come from - the logic of cheaper flights is that you end up doing a lot more seemingly pointless miles.

    Today workers are tearing up our front yard to replace the water main and sewer pipe. They finished at 3:00PM, but its a mess. We'll have to add soil and sod after we get back.

    DJ waits impatiently as we pack up his favorite foods, blanket and toys into three shopping bags. Its a short drive to his new home and he cant wait to check out all of the exciting smells.
