São 5 horas da manhã em Montreal. Ontem eu comprei um rádio-relógio pra ver se, junto com o alarme do meu celular, eu consigo me acordar e ir à aula, que começa às 8:30. Uphill from a plaza was Quartier Latin where we had an evening coffee. Waiters kept asking us in French and we could not shake off a feeling of being in a magnificently unreal place

... Montreal. The most we paid was in Ignace, Ontario @1.129/L and the least was in Stony Plain, Alberta @ 0.859/L. On the average we used 12L per 100Kms....but who's counting? :o)

I'm not sure if that's great mileage but it's about what I expected for a fully loaded Grand Caravan with a pod on the roof.

... just need to find a map of Montreal to make sure that I can get back okay...... a word of warning for anyone coming to Canada is that although you can use Visa in the shops its really hard to find somewhere to withdraw money using a Visa card. The only bank that I found that allowed Visa was CIBC all the others allow Mastercard, Cittrus and Maestro but not Visa so either get a second card or make sure you know where the CIBC banks are!!
