So I haven't actually flown out yet, but I'm planning to.. In 9 hours. I just wanted to get my fans pumped up to read more about my adventures.
It's snowing a lot outside (in GFPK). I foresee a nice 1.5 hour bus ride from downtown Montreal to PET airport.
... people going elsewhere. Street artists were showing seasonal paintings - snow covered spiral staircases, snow on the streets, snow on the roofs. We truly felt a snow anticipation in the air
Uphill from a plaza was Quartier Latin where we had an evening coffee. Waiters kept asking us in French and we could not shake off a feeling of being in a magnificently unreal place
Several times we saw signs "Come back in May". I wonder...
... for a while. But Ghostbeard, oh man, when he started spinning, the dancefloor became packed. I KNEW I had heard of him before. He played a whole bunch of remixed reggae oldies like "Romie" and "Murder She Wrote" mmmmmmmmmwah! You know you know those songs: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-av7F1JB mj4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fI-g_0mU UmE Just amazing. His set was two hours long and Keith and I danced barefeet under ...
Laval, Quebec, Canada starlagurl... have her first poutine. She didn't really enjoy the cheese curds. Mike said that the place we went to was the best in the whole city (Frites Doree). I guess I'll just have to believe him on that one. After that, we went to Fou Foune Electrique for a blast from the past (the last time I was there it was 1998), and we kept the ball rolling and ordered some more beer. Don't ask. At about midnight, we were all pretty tired so we all went home for the night. Yay!
Montreal, Quebec, Canada starlagurlWe woke up and Denis was already gone to the gym, so we headed out to the Jean-Talon market to perhaps snag some authentic Montreal bagels, and/or breakfast. As it turns out, there were none, so Veronica ordered a delicious crepe. She gave me some. And I ate it. Here is a picture of that. We decided to walk down to Fairmount Bagels and buy some real bagels, since we couldn't find any at the market. They were indeed delicious. I bought a big sack of them and then had to carry them ...
Montreal, Quebec, Canada anaisetmatWith the continuing work mess, I did what I could until it was done and left for the day. I took the somewhat overpriced Metro to the Laurier stop and walked several blocks to the brasserie artisanale (brewpub) called Dieu Du Ciel (god of the sky?). ratebeer.com gave this establishment and their brews some of the highest marks possible, and I ...

Laval, Quebec, Canada bogit... We are happy about our results, we get acknowledgment from our colleagues, clients and employees, we accomplish so much but we cannot really remember how we felt throughout this process, throughout a specific moment during our good or bad day. It's as if our own life was put aside and we became robots, here to execute tasks and assess of our successes from an analytical point of view only, with no regards upon the process itself and the joy of it. I have ...
Montreal, Quebec, Canada erriuc... definitely in order!!... everyone had already instructed me that I eat a particular authentic Quebecois dish. Called 'Poutine' it's made up of potato chips, cheese (typical Quebec cheese, v squishy) and loads of gravy.... I loved it... so does my love handles... having this dish in such a cold climate and freely within my grasp could be all too deadly for my waist line... I am determined not to stack on the weight while I am here ...
