... from their grills. I was actually surprised to only find the predictable country stations on the radio and not an all-day-every-day Christmas music station. There are still 9 days left…I won’t hold my breath.
In Bill Bryson’s road trip book he talked about the great billboards he experienced growing up on road trips and how lame they had gotten since (this was years back). While there was generic billboard after generic ...

Choir and Orchestra members had free time until mid-afternoon Monday. Many enjoyed the sight of Craig Jessop serving as honorary “duck master” at the famous Peabody Hotel in downtown Memphis. The original Peabody was established in 1869, being replaced by the current opulent hotel in 1925. Perhaps more famous than the hotel’s luxurious accommodations are the “Peabody Ducks,” five ducks who are brought down from their penthouse on the roof ...

Searcy, Arkansas, United States mgibb05... We will be staying with two families while we are there, the Reeses and the Williams. We would all really appreciate your prayers while we are getting ready to go and while we are there! I am going to try to keep this thing as up-to-date as I can while I am over there, but I'm not promising anything! I hope you all have a blessed day!

We ended up by a fountain and, unexpectedly, his grave was there, next to the graves of his parents and his paternal grandmother! So I know he is definately dead! We also toured his aircraft, which was anything but modest! such luxury! with his sofa rooms, bedrooms et al. These ...
Memphis, Tennessee, United States josman... I managed to get to Graceland okay. I arrived just as the last tour group were exiting Graceland, but the stores were still open. I stopped at Graceland for one purpose and one purpose only - to purchase a Tee shirt for a friend of mine, back in Brigham, who is an avid fan of Elvis. I found a great Tee and after taking a few photos over the grafitti covered front wall I headed into AK, wending my way toward Rolla, MO.
Hardy, Arkansas, United States montgomerylaneSurvived more thunderstorms and torrential rain to get here. Hot Springs is a bit like Bath in England, with Victorian bath houses and places for taking the waters. It is surrounded by woodland and is all very green (hardly surprising with all the rain they get). We are staying with Jeff and Na Young (who is from Korea) and baby Sydnee. Lovely location high up in the woodland. (Pictures when I get time)
Hot Springs, Arkansas, United States salandrich... days, so I'm just hanging around, doing those mundane laundry-type tasks, paying bills, etc. We'll be in North Carolina for about a week and a half, and then when we get back, just a couple of weeks and we're off to Europe for a month. So - consider this a practice run. I'll post more when we actually start travelling. Toodles!
Memphis, Tennessee, United States skrop1... and doing military-type chants but usually with a Christian twist. One of them that will probably be forever engrained in all of our memories was: "Everywhere we go, people want to know, who we are, so we tell them, We are South Point, mighty mighty, South Point." Repeat indefinitely until snack time ;)
