    A little more New Orleans

... found a Lululemon and did a little shopping. Tami took me to get an english donut, (beignet) which is a must try. We took a little nap after that. After getting some much needed rest, we headed to Poppy's Crazy Lobster for some more local fare - red beans and rice for Tami and some gumbo for me. I swear there isn't enough time in the day for ...

    New Orleans!

Before leaving Memphis, we needed to do laundry... badly! While waiting for the washing machines to finish, we found a Ms. Pac-man game and I got to witness Tami's video game skills! After a drying/folding/packing session, we bounded down to New Orleans. After checking in, we spent a little time at the pool. Then we headed ...

rocket to get us there." This is a quote from the Space Center Houston website, as they say it so much better.

We thoroughly enjoyed our day. A word of advice for anyone considering a visit here. Get there early and do the tour first. It fills up quickly and by the middle of the day, the wait times for the tour can be up to three hours. We were lucky, we only stood in line for half that long. Cheers!

... were predicted all day (my weather app sent a series of alerts threatening storms beginning at 12:15, then 3;00, then 5:00, then 6:30, so it was looking like they’d get here right about movie time), but we seem to have lucked out.

The movies were The Fault is in Our Stars, and The Edge of Tomorrow, a rather bizarre combination: tear-jerker about teenagers with cancer and a science-fiction war ...

    ... by Exxon!

Experienced the full wrath of Houston rush hour as we headed back to our hotel in the 5pm commute. Our 30 minute journey ride into the city was turned into a 90 minute journey home. I have no idea how people can sit in this traffic everyday.

I'm still waiting to see someone wearing a cowboy hat and I dare not order a steak if the hot dogs cost $12. So far Texas has been a major let down.
