    On to Montreal and Nicolet! After Montreal, traffic was reasonable. There were lots of motorcyclists getting soaked!! Lots of three-wheeled bikes, among them.

    We found the former monastery, where we were going to stay. I checked in. They had my reservation, gave us a 'very nice room' on the 4th floor (which is really the 5th floor) . . . and then the desk clerk tells me . . . the 'el lee vay ...
