... with plenty of people out enjoying the weather. The area where i am staying has a middle east culture, where there are a few bazaar's and markets. Makes for an interesting change.
No i did not go and visit some of the biggest wineries in Europe near Bordeaux, i dont have any interest in wine any more. Plus a lot of the Chateau's had retail outlets in the city.
What a great part of France, really nice polite people living in a great city.

Plus we went into a Basque chocolate shop, a specialty food shop, the Maison du Vin which was a sort of formal wine bar where you could have a glass of a selection of fabulous wines. Also we found the Musée des Beaux Arts and spent some time there. And we walked half way across the bridge - Bordeaux is near the mouth of the Garonne. ... without missing a beat. Didn't even flinch when I hit one of the outside mirrors down a narrow lane in Florence..... it just bounced back!
Ok there is more good news, we shouted ourselves to a Hotel, can't lie, a bit of luxury has been nice, although the space was very small. After settling into a room with real coffee and an actual coffee maker, we had a drink with a Canadian couple ...
... style tomatoes, onions and peppers. Despite the fish and chicken we chose, we absolutely had to have a Bordeaux wine. We took our server's recommendation and weren't disappointed. What was probably and average half-bottle of red wine here turned out to be one of the best I've ever had although to be fair I rarely touch reds...but still. We saved the bottle to take home as a souvenir.

... to Bordeaux. Find out the train station is closed. Forced to take a Mercedes taxi (riding in style) to the french train station about 20 minutes away.
9:30 am- arrive in Bordeaux. Look around for our "hotel" (which was really just a hostel) for 30 minutes and wander around Bordeaux aimlessly. Find out our "hotel" was a 2 minute walk from the train station. Sweet.
11:00 am- make our way towards central Bordeaux. Walk around and do some touristy things- ...
