Left Flagstaff and followed Route 66 to Albuquerque. Stopped at a town called Gallup, the Navajo and Zuni peoples major trading centre. If u wanted to buy the beautiful turquoise jewellery this was the place. We were a little worried about getting out and walking the main street. ... the beaten path. Food was delicious and Conner was thrilled to finally be asked the most important questions: do you want red or green with that? The red and green chiles were clearly home made and delicious. The kids loved the sopaipillas. My margarita with Herradura silver tequila and enchildadas full of carne adovada (spicy pulled pork) were to die for!
Tomorrow we are headed to Flagstaff, Arizona, one state closer to California!

The Fair was a lot of fun!
