Universitetsgaten 11 Oslo, Oslo, Norway, 0164, 2335-4200
The next morning, Lisa, Jan (2 other gals in the room) asked me if I'd seen her since last night. When the three of us checked out this morning we notified reception, since all her stuff is still here and it's quite weird. It's none of our business what people do, but she definitely did not strike me as the type to stay out all night or crash somewhere random, especially after this conference and knowing that Oslo is as foreign to her as it is to me.
<br ...

Oslo, Oslo, Norway cariverga... is not so nice.

But back to Oslo, we had seen people barbecuing in the park earlier and decided to do the same for dinner. They sell these little tinfoil dishes here that have charcoal bricks and a grill for portable BBQ fun… do we have those in Canada? I guess I have never tried to BBQ in the park. Anyway I thought it was cool, so we found a park and set up the grill ...
Oslo, Oslo, Norway tidolu14... get a good view.

It is a picture perfect day in Fridrickshavn (I keep spelling this city differently each time….looks just as wrong each time).

We set out on our eight hour trip across the Baltic and up the Oslo Fjord. I really enjoyed it a lot. In a lounge I was able to quietly sit, read and catch up on some emails. There was an Internet at Sea service, but I found that I could send anything I ...
Oslo, Oslo, Norway victorkubik... the history and culture of Norway you get Vikings, Folk stories and Trolls (ugly little things that were commercialised into the toys you played with as kids with funky coloured hair in hot pinks, greens and blues). It is a beautiful yet expensive country - it is not hard to identifying just how overpriced it is here in Norway- but by 5pm we were safely onboard and warm waving good bye to our northern neighbour on our way home again... vi ses, Oslo!!
Oslo, Norway nomadicnikki... them has human figures intertwined with trees to mean the tree of life. There were some that moved Jeff and I almost to tears. I have never seen such emotion in a statue before. Rising above it all is an obelisk that is carved in stone. It stands 63 feet tall and is carved from one solid piece of granite. The stone was brought in by ship, then it took four days to transport it 2 miles to the site and erect it. It then took 27 artists ...
Oslo, Norway simru12... After this we headed for the Ski Simulator, which was as if we were doing ski jump & downhill skiing at 110mph - was great fun, but a little sick afterwards! We finished off mid summers day (big festival in Norway) with pasta and sausages while watching a downloaded copy of house that we had missed - very romantic! So heading off tomorrow towards Stockholm - to sum up Norway - rainy, cold & expensive!!Nice ...
Oslo, Norway no1pablo... walking. It was with great relief that i climbed over the last hill at the end of Lairigmore to reveal the little village of Kinlochleven down below. That night i checked into a great hostel called the blackwater hostel. It owned by a lovely guy called Callum, he actually built the hostel himself and for £13 its one of the best hostels Ive ever stayed in. He had built a big drying room on the premises where you could leave all your wet clothes and bags to be dried by the next ...
Oslo, Oslo, Norway talamarko... and many wonderful relationships over the years. This reminds me about the statement that Christ made in Mark: Mark 10: 29 "Assuredly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My sake and the gospel's, 30 who shall not receive a hundredfold now in this time - houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with ...
Oslo, Norway victorkubik... the group will be about 1.2 kilos away from the school in the opposite direction from us, so from the map they showed us it looks like quite the journey to go visit them. I was definitely hoping to be closer, so I could get to know the whole group better, but I am sure there will still be plenty of time for all of that. As it is however, I live in a very cute flat that is owned by a single woman who I hear is named Heidi, and she lives ...
