... with my haircut but really liked the colour and the price was right. And it was just a short walk across the road. (Nowhere near as good as Adele though Meridith!)

Today we have been packing up the annex and preparing the van for storage tomorrow while we spend some time visiting friends, etc. We'll come back and pick it up again in a couple of weeks.

... we headed into town. The 'short stroll' into town wasn't quite as short as we'd been led to believe but nonetheless we soon found a busy spot in the Beach Hotel. ... spot to stay for two nights: a cozy van at the colonial tweed holiday and home park in Tweed Heads. This park and the ppl that own it are just wonderful, a real hit. Either strolling along the adjacent river, or visiting the beach in Coolangatta in next door Queensland, this place was worth spending all our nerves on looking for a place to stay :-D

... sand was so nice and fine, barely anyone on the beach. I often wonder if the Aussies appreciate their beaches as much as the tourists, because all their beaches are stunningly beautiful.

I walked down to the next street where most of the shops are to check the bus schedule. I still had 30min so I walked around the street and checked out some shops. A lot of cafés and pie shops, Aussies love their meat pies. Originally I was gonna go do some grocery shopping at Pacific Fair ...

... I think enclosure is actually the wrong word to use here. It was a relatively open area where kangaroos mixed freely with humans, birds and at least one emu. It is also possible to buy some kangaroo feed here to give to the inhabitants. Ella loved every second of this! She went from roo to roo (with Harry in tow and just as enthralled) feeding the roos. Big ones, small ones, red ones and grey ones. They all got some loving from Ella! I have to admit, it was ...
